Carnotite resources of the Ellison and Burro claims, San Miguel County, Colorado
The Geological survey drilled 41 holes, totaling 6,590 feet of drilling, on the Government-owned Ellison and Burro claims and the adjoining Public Land. This drilling found about 900 tons of indicated reserves, estimated to average about 0.15 percent U3O8 and 1.5 percent V2O5, in masses 1 foot or more thick. Reserves of sub-commercial grade, and those in layers less than 1 foot thick, have not been calculated, but they probably amount to a few thousand tons, mostly of very low-grade material.
