Preliminary report on the geology of the Copper Mountain area, Fremont County, Wyoming
Geological reconnaissance was conducted by the U.S. Atomic Energy Commission during the fall of 1955, in the area between Cedar Ridge and Copper Mountain, along the southeast margin of the Owl Creek Mountains, Fremont County, Wyoming. All known radioactive occurrences were examined, the contact between the Precambrian and Tertiary rocks was mapped, and detailed geologic examinations were made in several localities. Eocene rocks in the area consist of the Wind River formation and younger sedimentary strata containing both andesitic tuffaceous material and non-tuffaceous mudstones and siltstones. ...
