Progress report on petrophysical studies of the Morrison Formation
A study of those properties of the Morrison formation which control its electrical resistivity was initiated in the Fall of 1952. Electrical well logs have been made in 147 drill holes, and measurements of physical properties are being performed on drill cores from seven of those holes. A preliminary analysis of the data indicates that electrical resistivity may be a function of favorability of ore occurrence. Plans are being made to continue the electric logging of drill holes on the Colorado Plateau.
