Interim report on diamond-drill exploration and plans for additional drilling in the Long Park area, Montrose County, Colorado
The Long Park area includes most of T. 47 N., and a small part of the northeastern corner of T. 46 N., R. 17 W., New Mexico principal meridian, Montrose County Colorado. The area is mostly public land but includes Government-leased ground and 186 privately owned claims. Total known production of uranium-vanadium ore from mines in Long Park through December 1952 was about 320,000 short tons having an average grade of about 0.35 percent U3O8 and 1.90 percent V2O5 (Smith, 1946; and Stephens and Ekren, 1952).
