Grand Valley Irrigation Headgates. The Bureau of Reclamation has spent some time developing the Western Slope of Colorado. The Silt, Grand Valley, Collbran, Dallas Creek, Fruit-growers, Paonia, Smith Fork, Uncompahgre, and Bostwick Park Projects, major parts of the Colorado-Big Thompson Project and the Wayne N. Aspinall Unit of the Colorado River Storage Project, all lie west of the continental divide.
