MITS Altair convention
Micro Instrumentation and Telemetry Systems (MITS) was an American electronics company founded in 1969 by Ed Roberts and Forrest Mims. The company began manufacturing electronic calculators in 1971 and personal computers in 1975. The MITS First (and only) World Altair Computer Convention was held in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and boasted 700 people from 46 states and seven countries in attendance.
