Lithium-ion batteries are prevalent in our society. With the demand for better durability of batteries in portable devices and vehicles, it is imperative that cell degradation be observed and mitigated. A challenge of using a physics-based model is that many parameters are needed to populate the model. One way of obtaining cell parameters is to break open the cell and take physical measurements.
