PERSONALITY AND COGNITIVE TRAITS INVOLVED IN TIP OF THE TONGUE STATES
The current study focused on the tip of the tongue (TOT) state, in which speakers are able to recall parts of a desired word (e.g., its meaning and initial sound) but are temporarily unable to produce it. We tested for factors related to individuals’ susceptibility to TOT states using a variety of personality and cognitive measures.
