This dissertation examined the impact of two expansions in Medicare coverage – the Annual Wellness Visit (AWV) and Medicare Part D – on ethnoracial disparities in dementia screening, diagnosis rates and medication utilization. We hypothesized that coverage expansions would reduce ethnoracial healthcare disparities due to financial barriers.
