He travels frequently between Greeley, Denver, and Fort Collins, and makes weekly visits to Crow Creek Ranch--his shorthorn cattle ranch northeast of Greeley. Work for the Greeley-Poudre Irrigation District occupies a large portion of his time. In May he travels to Washington, D.C., for a Colorado River Compact conference, and on his way back west stops in Lincoln, Nebraska, to discuss a South Platte compact and Topeka, Kansas, to discuss an Arkansas River compact.
