Xanthohumol (XN), a prenylated chalcone found in hops (Humulus lupulus L.) has been shown to possess a wide spectrum of beneficial properties including anti-oxidant, anti-proliferative, pro-apoptotic, anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, anti-viral, and anti-malarial activities.
