Abstract
Exploring the sociocultural significance of approximately three hundred Middle Preclassic Maya figurines uncovered at Nixtun-Ch'ich' on Lake Petén Itzá in northern Guatemala. In this analysis--hand-modeled, terracotta, anthropomorphic fragments, animal figures, and musical instruments.
