Contains a letter from L. T. Burgess, Chief Hydrographer for the Engineering Department of the State of Colorado, to Ralph Parshall concerning tabulations of snow survey measurements made at the east portal of Moffat Tunnel and measurements made on the Amity Canal 20-foot Parshall flume. There is a table of Current Meter Measurements on Amity Canal at 20-foot Parshall Flume. A telegram to Parshall mentions Holly, Colorado, a false floor, and Amity Mutual Irrigation Company superintendent Oscar Hellbeck. A diagram of Amity Canal is dated 1937 with mention of a Parshall flume. A letter from R. L. Parshall to M. C. Hinderlider (cc: C. W. Beach, Oscar Hellbeck, W. Wheeler, L. T. Burgess) concerning flow through the 20-foot Parshall measuring flume in the Amity Canal near Lamar and issues related to putting in a new floor to raise the grade to improve measurements. Following is a table concerning new floor in structure. State Engineer M. C. Hinderlider wrote a letter to R. L. Parshall in response discussing Amity Canal, a directors meeting in Pueblo which requested a delay due to finances and review before the full board to approve raising the present flume floor by 18 inches by use of a course gravel or crushed stone instead of sand.
