Abstract

The artist's statement: My purpose with video editing is to create seamless transitions that allow the viewer to experience the thrill of being present at an event, even when they are only attending virtually. The "experience" combines visual elements that are specified to certain sound elements. My style can be described as experimental and vibrant. My work is distinct from that of other artists because I create my own presets and filters that cannot be seen elsewhere. I have always found interest in the live performance atmosphere and the nature of concert goers watching their favorite musician put on a show. Aside from concert recap videos, I create low poly 3D animations, stills, and short films using Cinema 4D and After Effects. I sculpt environments that fuse technological concepts and nature. The visual aspect and stage production of live events is what influences me to create this style of art. Music has always had a big role in works I have done in the past and each video animation incorporates tracks that are cued to the animation. Each of my works gives insight to my imagination and execution of my thoughts/personal experiences. The experiences (good and bad) have shaped my style as an artist as am always searching for new ways to re-create real-life awareness and encounters.
