George Stager: his experiences in World War II, as told in his own words
On April 24, 2013 George Stager sat down at his home in Ft. Collins, CO and told of his experiences in World War II. George, born in Jersey City and raised there and in New Brunswick, NJ, served in the Navy. he flew coastal security in the states and then was transferred overseas where he flew patrols in the Straits of Gibraltar. After the war, George got his college degree and would go on to have a fulfilling and successful 38 year career in education. He also met and married his wife Elizabeth. They were married for 38 years until her passing. George has five daughters and seven grandchildren.
