GB-21, Jonathan tree in the Marchant which was not thinned
October 3, 1903. Showing Jonathan tree in the Marchant which was not thinned. This tree stands east of no. 3 according to my plot of thinning. Shows twenty boxes as filled by the pickers which will pack out about (16) sixteen. Fifty percent of these apples were not ready to pick on above date on account of color. 25% of all will probably never be properly colored. 50% of the crop will run under 2 1/2 inches around must go as choice. The other 50% will run a small grade of extra or fancy. A twelve foot ladder by this tree. Photograph by O. B. W.
