Richard Schaller: his experiences in World War II, as told in his own words
On December 8, 2015 Richard Schaller sat down at his home in Windsor, CO and told of his experiences in World War II. Richard, born and raised in St. Louis, MO, served in the Army Air Corps. He maintained the turrets and computers on the B-29, stationed on Tinian Island with the 39th Bomb Squadron of the 6th Bomber Group, 20th Air Force. After his service Richard returned to college and then went on to a twenty-five year career with the FBI and a twenty year career with the State of New York Attorney General's Office.
