John "Wes" Shull: his experiences in World War II, as told in his own words
On July 3, 2015 John "Wes" Shull sat down at his home in Ft. Morgan, CO and told of his experiences in World War II. Wes, born in Steamboat Springs and raised in Snyder and Mosca, Colorado, served in the Marines Corps' 5th Amphibious Tractor Battalion. He tells of his involvement in the island invasions of Saipan, Tinian, and Iwo Jima. He then served six months with the occupation forces in Japan.
