Donald Merritt: his experiences in the Korean War, as told in his own words
On April 7, 2011 Donald Merritt sat down at his home in Loveland, CO and told of his experiences in the Korean War. Don, born and raised in Hamlin, NY, served with Co. H, 1st Battalion, 17th Infantry Regiment of the 7th Infantry Division. He arrived in Korea as a replacement and spent almost his entire tour of duty on the front lines up on Hill 347, in the famous Pork Chop Hill area.
