Stanley Black: his experiences in the Korean War, as told in his own words
On August 27, 2012 Stanley Black sat down at his home in Loveland, CO and told of his experiences in the Korean War. Stan, born and raised in Libertyville, IL, served in the Navy. After receiving his commission, he was assigned to the aircraft carrier USS Philippine Sea (CV-47) where he served a tour off the coast of Korea. While on the carrier, he developed an interest in flying and transferred to flight school.
