Howard Greenlee: his experiences in World War II, as told in his own words
On August 20, 2009 Howard Greenlee sat down at his home in Eaton, CO and told of his experiences in World War II. Howard, born in Milliken, CO, served in the 10th Air Force as a radioman aboard a B-24. After crisscrossing the states for training at a number of bases, he shipped out to an isolated base in India, where he was stationed until the war's end. He talks about life in India in the 1940's. He flew east from the states to get there and came home by boat from the west. After the war, he returned home to his lovely wife Mary. They had 66 wonderful years together until Mary passed last year.
