Robert "Bob" Brunson: his experiences in World War II, as told in his own words
On July 15, 2011 Bob Brunson sat down at his home in Estes Park, CO and told of his experiences in World War II. Bob, born in Abilene and raised primarily in Leavenworth, KS, served in the Navy. His father was a pilot in World War I, which sparked Bob's interest in aviation. Bob would serve with the Navy's first night fighter squadron, first with VF(N)-75 and from that a new squad, VF(N)-101. He flew from the aircraft carrier USS. Enterprise.
