Hugh Arnold: his experiences in World War II, as told in his own words
On October 17, 2008 Hugh Arnold sat down at his office in Greeley, CO and told of his experiences in World War II. Having a love of airplanes since he was a child, Hugh knew what he wanted to do when the war broke out. As soon as he could once he turned 18, he left college and enlisted in the Army Air Corps. He served in the 457th Bomber Group of the 8th Air Force as a B-17 pilot. A great story teller, he takes us through his experiences from training on to actual missions. He flew 14 missions, all in a very condensed period of time, during a final thrust by the Allies to end the war with Germany. ...
