Colorado Displaced Homemakers Project Oral Histories
In 1989, Colorado State University student Diana Lee initiated the Colorado Displaced Homemakers Project for her master's thesis in twentieth-century women's history. The focus of the project was on women who were raised primarily to be wives, mothers, and homemakers, but were forced into the role of single parent and sole wage earner. The archival collection consists primarily of oral history interviews conducted by Lee and includes cassette tapes, summary or complete transcripts, research notes, and drafts. This digital collection, dated June to July 1990, includes five transcripts or summaries of interviews.
