Morgan Library, along with other parts of Colorado State University’s campus, was damaged by a flood on July 28, 1997. This collection was assembled from several campus offices’ records, and it documents the destruction and the university’s response. Materials include contracts with non-University service providers, reports on book repair and replacement of damaged materials, memos, emails and meeting minutes of library committees formed to mitigate damage to the book and journal collection, records of book and monetary donations to the library, interlibrary loan materials, and documentation of the restoration of the building. Also included are photographs of Morgan Library following the flood, and VHS recordings of broadcasts by local news channels and CSU media relations on the flood and repair of the library. This digital collection contains the CSU Public and Media Relations Department video “After the Flood,” which documents the damage to Colorado State University campus that resulted from the July 1997 flood.
