The Collection on Student Unrest contains materials documenting social unrest and grassroots student activism on the campus of Colorado State University from 1968 to 1971. Assembled by the Office of Information and Public Service, the collection covers protests, sit-ins, building take-overs, vandalism on campus, and the official university administration’s response to student activism. Materials include press releases, newspaper clippings, and audio recordings. This digital collection, with materials dated 1968 to 1971, includes audio recordings of meetings concerning demands made to administration by the Black Student Alliance (BSA), the Mexican-American Committee for Equality (MACE), and the organizers of the campus “Beer In” in 1968. Also included are a press conference by university athletics and several memos by the BSA and MACE to campus administration.
