Explorations of LGBTQ-related content in Colorado associate and baccalaureate-level professional nursing education
Providing culturally competent care to the LGBTQ population is a requirement of ethical professional nursing care and nursing schools are mandated to prepare their students for this expectation. This study explored the extent to which LGBTQ-related content is addressed in Colorado associate- and baccalaureate-level professional nursing education using a descriptive, quantitative survey administered to administrative leaders representing Colorado professional nursing programs.
