    Abstract
    Airports involve energy-intensive operations that can considerably lower cost by investing in energy-efficient technologies. Improved lighting, mechanical, HVAC systems and using renewable energy sources are the biggest opportunities to save energy in the airports. To be able to see the possible solutions for energy saving, energy modeling of the building is necessary. Energy modeling is used in the design process to be able to focus on the most promising energy-saving strategies.
