dc.description.abstractFarmers Union Members Gail Prostrollo and Bill Meier watch the 325-foot-long drag line scooping up 55 cubic yards of coal at the Colorado Energy Fuels strip mine near Oak Creek. Nearly 40 RMFU members took a Land, Energy and Water bus tour, sponsored by RMFU, of the Western Slope in September, 1981 to study the impact of energy development on Western Colorado agriculture.
