Johnson (Harvey) Papers
Fort Collins farmer Harvey Johnson (1895-1991) was heavily involved in Northern Colorado’s water development and served on the Water Supply and Storage Company Board for 54 years beginning in 1936. Johnson was a member of the Fort Collins City Council and served two terms as mayor in the 1960s, and during that time he pushed the city to acquire and store water for future growth. Johnson’s collection contains family history information, such as oral history transcripts and biographies, as well as correspondence, photographs, newspaper clippings, and land deeds.
