The Groundwater Data Collection gathers materials used by Colorado State University researchers to study Colorado's groundwater resources during the twentieth century. The collection’s data, maps, charts, drafts, correspondence, photographs, final reports, and reference materials were produced by or collected for these groundwater studies in eastern Colorado (the South Platte Basin, High Plains, and Arkansas Basin) as well as the San Luis Valley in southern Colorado. Studies primarily concern artificial recharge, observation wells, and irrigation pumping. For more information see the finding aid, finding aid.

This digital collection, with materials dated 1897 to 2012, includes observation well data; data, maps, and reports from surface water-groundwater interaction and artificial groundwater recharge studies in the South Platte Basin, Arkansas Basin, High Plains, and San Luis Valley; local Fort Collins and CSU-specific water information; publications on groundwater and surface water in Colorado; Colorado Ground-Water Association Newsletters; and slides, photographs, and films of study areas.
