"Can Forests Meet Our Energy Needs? The Future of Forest Biomass in Colorado" conference was held on February 21, 2008 at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado. The conference was for anyone with an interest in reducing dependence on fossil fuels as well as those who promote forest health. Experts from academia, environmental groups, government, industry, and other non-governmental organizations shared their respective insights on current happenings and future trends in biomass policy development as they pertained to the state. Analyses focused on economic, environmental, and social limits to utilization and possible solutions to not only current energy dilemma but also to threats facing forests as the two issues intersect and overlap. This digital collection includes presentations given at the conference.
