This digital collection represents exhibits displayed at Colorado State University Libraries from 2017 to 2019. The libraries' University, Water Resources, and Agricultural and Natural Resources Archives is featured, along with its Special Collections. "Student of Fire" items showcase the contributions of Paul Gleason (1946-2003), a former CSU faculty member, to the field of wildland fire science. "150 Years of the Student Experience" honors the university's 1870-2020 sesquicentennial celebration. Original exhibits are typically shown at the library, though elements of some can be seen around campus.

The event and Archives and Special Collections exhibit showcased the contributions of Paul Gleason to the field of wildland fire science. After retiring from a career as a wildland firefighter, leader, and strategist, Gleason became a faculty member at Colorado State University's Department of Forestry and Natural Resources. He served as an adjunct professor for the Wildland Fire Science program at CSU. Focusing on years of conflicts and new traditions, included are images of a 1916 physics laboratory; Scribblers Club members practicing their lines in 1919; a 1931 parade float and scene of students painting the "A" near Horsetooth Reservoir; the campus soda fountain in 1941; World War II veterans registering for classes and standing by post-war Quonset hut housing in 1946; and Swan Club swimmers posing in 1949. Focusing on years of expansion and turmoil, included are images of a robot from the 1951 Engineering Days; the newly built Morgan Library in 1965; students and speakers at a 1969 minority recruitment demonstration; a concert in 1975 with the band Chicago and the Beach Boys; and a student tending to greenhouse carnations in 1982.
