﻿These 2 databases were used for design and validation of a bait-capture system for enrichment of antimicrobial resistance and virulence genes within metagenomic samples. The database titled "Bait_Design_Database" was used to create a panel of 120-mer cRNA biotinylated baits to capture and enrich resistance and virulence genes within metagenomic samples. The database contains 5,557 antimicrobial resistance and virulence gene sequences. It should be used in fasta format. The database titled "Alignment_Database" was used to identify resistance and virulence genes within the enriched and non-enriched metagenomic sequence data, in order to validate the bait-capture panel. It should be used in fasta format.
